Animal Rescues

This isn't actually something I've had much experience of, though I don't doubt there are rescue circles that are quite familiar with it.

The one situation I was ever presented with concerned the appearance of a bear within a scene of a clearing adjacent to a pine forest. This wasn't in itself anything unusual as working with animals in this way is always good practice for circle members.
The bear was fine and normal but I then became aware that it wasn't alone, and that there was in fact another there with it but who was unaware of us. The contrast between the two however was quite clear, the second was in a state of some extreme distress and as we explored this further with our senses, we could see just how traumatised this animal was.

It's difficult to adequately convey how disturbed this bear was, from the movement of it's body and head, to the fixed and haunted stare of it's eyes, to sensing it's mental torment from what humans had done to it.
We didn't follow up too much on that last aspect, it was enough to acknowledge what had been done and to offer whatever assistance we were able. To this effect the first bear was more significant than we'd first realised, and together with the addition of a woodsman from spirit, we were able to move this poor creature on to somewhere better, and it's tortured mind began to find some peace at last.

To say that this experience was something of a shock is an understatement, and although we were somewhat more familiar with spirit people's emotional upset before rescue, this touched us all on a rather different level, and as ever, it was a privilege to be in a position to be of help.

This is something new to me and came about when my wife caught a glimpse of a large man accompanying one of our dogs, once she'd mentioned it to me I had the impression that this man was simple minded and child-like, had psychologically withdrawn from an unhappy life, and was seeking refuge in the uncomplicated emotions of life as a dog. The advantages of this was that he no longer had to make sense of his earthbound situation, and didn't have to make any confusing or difficult decisions, just follow our dog and share in her life and emotions.

Understandably he was reluctant to leave and became angry and agitated with the thought that he might be forced away from the only happiness he'd been able to find. My point to him was that we'd never force him away, we just wanted to show him another option.
At this stage it's usual that guides set a scene with which to help the spirit and this was no different, so I became aware of an image of a summer's day meadow and hillside, populated with several dogs, which although attractive in one sense, wasn't strong enough to get him to relinquish his hold on our dog in this life.

We use scenes like this to get the spirit to focus on something different and to begin interacting with a new environment, which is invariably more attractive to what they've previously known as an earthbound spirit existing in our physical world and aware of us, rather than a world of their own making.

I follow the suggestions of guides as much as I can and we introduced more life to the scene in the form of birds and butterflies, one of which landed on his hand and immediately caught his full attention, which serves to distract them, introduce different emotions while separating them from their former emotional state. So this helped calm him down and reassured him that this was indeed a nice place, free from any of the upset he'd known when alive, and most notably, free from people too at this moment.

I then brought his attention to a small and enthusiastic little terrier which was sat at his feet looking up at him expectantly, and although he liked the dog, it wasn't enough of a replacement for our dog Kess and the feeling of comfort he'd achieved with her. Guides naturally have a plan B in case the elements they present aren't enough, and it was here that another dog came into the scene, one my wife had grown up with and had died some years ago.
Things became quite emotional and he could clearly feel the love and bond between my wife and her old dog, such that his trust issues dissolved and he accepted that he could move on and stay with this new friend, after which they both left and he was no longer in our reality.

To end this story I'll add that I felt that guides had provided another addition for him, this being a lovely little cottage for them to stay in, remote enough from people to make him feel safe yet with a road outside at the front. And I had the feeling that every now and then a gentlemen would go past the cottage walking his dog, and that should the rescued spirit show himself, the gentlemen would simply nod in friendly acknowledgment and continue on his way. One day however the man would feel increasingly drawn to want more contact, and would venture out into the garden where the gentleman would inevitably make an appearance and would gently begin further contact.
It'll take time, but eventually the man will accept people and make a complete transition into whatever spirit realm awaits him.

This was a most unusual rescue for us, but turned out to be hugely rewarding in emotional terms and reaffirms the lengths spirit will go to to recover those gone astray. It's certainly an experience we won't forget in a while.
