Here's the log of the bear brawl at the Drum for those that want it. :o)
You open the Mended Drum's door.

This part of the Mended Drum is covered in dirt, soot and less definable substances, with it smeared on the walls and any other surface that looks good. The floor itself is piled high with rotting garbage of various kinds. The room is inhabited by the usual bunch of heroes, cut-throats, mercenaries, desperadoes and villains, and only microscopic analysis could tell them apart. The streets of Ankh-Morpork are to the south, while the bar is to the north.
There are two obvious exits: south and north.
Tiny Majic, Hrun, Stren Withel and Sergeant Detritus are standing here.

This is the street just outside the infamous Mended Drum pub, described in "Wellcome to Ankh-Morporke, Citie of One Thousand Surprises" as "a Cheereful Taverne in which the Honest Yeomen of the Citye may be seen Drinking, Singing and Reciting Poetrye." The noise and bustle here is incredible. The crossroads between Minger Way to the north, Filigree Street itself and Baker Street to the south, is teeming with people. Add to this the junction with Short Street just west of here, together with the crowds drawn there by the Mended Drum, and it's no surprise it's so busy. With seven guilds and three pubs within easy walking distance, this really is the bustling heart of the city.

Filigree Street carries on here in much the way that can only be expected of a street in central Ankh-Morpork. The buildings lean inwards overhead, litter fills the gutters and crowds of people swarm back and forth along it. The only real difference here is the small, slightly odd-looking shop on the southern side of the road. Otherwise there's probably more to see to the west or east of here, where can be found the Drum and the Patrician's Palace respectively.

Filigree Street is so crowded here that it feels like it is physically forcing its way between the overhanging buildings on either side. Crowds of people throng the street heading east towards Peasant Parade and the Patrician's Palace, west towards the Mended Drum and Short Street or simply hanging around watching the seething mass of humanity (and other species) as it goes about its collective business. Many of the people here seem to be heading in and out of one or another of two shops that face onto the street - a small one to the north and a larger one, with an impressive window and a sign outside, to the south.
