Sound? I never knew that Discworld MUD had sound!

Well ... it doesn't have sound built in, but you can add your own sound effects keyed to events. I know because I've done it.

Personally I use MUSH client. If you have no idea what a client is and are still using the Java Script on the main Discworld site to access the MUD then you have no hope of pulling this off yet. Your first step should be to look into connecting via a client. I recommend MUSH. You can find a link to it in the Links section.

Important - ZMud users can now make use of these sound effects too. Download the sounds from here and then visit Ral's Discworld for advice on getting the sounds working in ZMud.

Equally Important - If you are a new user of sounds then you may want to consider downloading the full archive in one go rather than individual downloads. You will still need to check out the links below to find out how to set them up but this should at least speed up the download process.
