Alias Overview
Aliases can be a tricky business to understand at first. There are plenty of nice tutorials on them at the Discworld main site though, so I'm not going to duplicate that here. Personally I like to learn by example, so I thought I'd give a selection of the aliases I use so that you can see how they work. Feel free to copy any of these for your own character.
I'm always adding aliases, amending existing ones and some of them would be of little use to most people so this should not be considered an exhaustive list of all the ones that I use. Also, bear in mind that the style of the aliases presented here is tailored to direct use in the MUD. If you are entering aliases through options in your own client software then the format may need to be amended. Personally, I prefer to enter aliases on the MUD itself rather than in client software as it makes them available from wherever I am logging in.
Alias Examples
Some of the aliases below use other aliases within their definitions. Obviously these will not work unless you also have the alias to which the one you are entering refers.
It has been noted by some players that they have many more aliases than shown here. So do I. These are examples to give you the idea. The speedwalk section is quite extensive now though and may well be added to further.
