Movement Aliases
b
Definition - alias b backward
Notes - There are already short hand versions of most directions. For example you can enter "n" as a command instead of "north". Many shops and rooms have an exit called "backward" though, so why not set up this alias and then you can just enter "b" to use this exit. It makes it as easy to use as any standard direction.
tj
Definition - alias tj options personal travel = journey
Notes - In terrain areas (outside towns and villages) it is sometimes tedious to walk one square at a time. Setting your travel option to journey will speed things up by traveling further with each entered command. If you are on a road then journey based traveling will even attempt to stay on the road. The syntax is a little long winded as you can see, so the alias "tj" (travel journey) makes it easy to set this option.
tw
Definition - alias tw options personal travel = walk
Notes - This is the opposite of the above alias. It sets your travel option to "walk" and means that you will have to walk through every location in a terrain environment without skipping ahead. Basically you will want to use "tj" when speed of travel is desired and "tw" when you don't want to miss anything along the way or wish to move carefully and precisely.
Thanks go to Pythium for spotting the typo in the definition above. It has now been corrected.
