Communication Aliases

ass

Definition - alias ass assassins

Notes - Talker channels are great. If you have a talker then typing "assassins Hi all." would say "Hi all" on the assassins channel (providing you have access to that channel, the talker is turned on and the channel is active). Abbreviating the word "assassins" to "ass" makes it quicker to reply to people so that you don't lag behind in the conversation. If you belong to one of the other (less important) guilds then feel free to work out how to adapt this alias. I'm sure you'll get there in the end. ;oP

gr

Definition - alias gr group report

Notes - Groups are a concept that is used when people want to join forces with each other. Many commands are available for the handling of groups and are explained in game through the help system (or by a helpful player that wishes to group with you). Setting up this alias means that you can quickly and easily perform a group report. Typing "gr" will now inform the whole group of your health and guild point levels. It will use descriptive terms rather than quoting numbers.

gs

Definition - alias gs group say

Notes - Here is another command for communicating with your group. It will act like a say command but anything that you say will only be heard by others in the group. For example "gs Hi" will say "Hi" to everyone in the group.

hi

Definition - alias hi say Greetings to you $*$. I trust you are well?

Notes - This alias will give you a fancy method of greeting people. Typing "hi Narcs" for example will say "Greetings to you Narcs. I trust you are well?"

hmm

Definition - alias hmm say teach me please

Notes - If you are a member of the Assassins' Guild then you will need to learn the commands of the profession from the teachers of the guild. Set up this alias and learning will become slightly easier. Just find a teacher and type "hmm" which will say "teach me please". The teacher will then offer to teach you all of the commands that you are currently skilled enough to learn.

t

Definition - alias t tell $1$ @telepathically $2*$

Notes - This is just a way of jazzing up your "tell" command and is shorter to type too. Tell is used for communicating with people who may not be in the same location as you. With this alias set up the communication will be described as telepathy. For example "t takura Hi" will result in you telepathically telling Takura "Hi".
