SENIOR SECTION

Our Senior section holds meetings on a fortnightly Basis. These meetings take place on Monday night. The section has a group of about 20 boys who meet on a regular basis.

The Senior Section was originally set up as a means of allowing boys to maintain contact with the friends that they had made during their time in the B.B. When they were at a time in their lives when they would be moving off in different directions in terms of going to college, university or into employment. The senior section is therefore viewed as the social section of the 223 as it has no uniform and when it meets it is in a more social setting than, any of the other sections, of the 223. Below is a list of the kinds of activities that the senior section boys get up to when the section meets.

Quiz Nights
5 A-side Football
Go Karting
Ten Pin Bowling
Laser Quest
Christmas Night Out

In the last session the senior section failed to meet because the increasing demands being placed on Craig Inglis and Craig Robertson, who run the section, at their work was allowing them little time to organise meetings. As a member of this section myself I think it would be a great shame if this section were to stop running altogether. I would like to encourage all the members of the section to take a little time to come up with some ideas as to how we could run this section. If you have any thought please email me at the address below.

To start things of here is my own idea:

  1. It is agreed that the Seniors will meet on alternate Monday nights at the Busby for the Quiz Night, for anybody wishing to attend. Anyone wishing to arrange another activity is free to do so, but they must arrange it all themselves (book it if necessary, phone people with the info etc). The only exception is December when it think we could get together and organise a special Xmas night out.

Well that’s my idea, so lets here yours.
