Tuesday Night
Swimming
On Tuesday nights throughout the session we take those boys who are interested swimming. Swimming starts at 6.15pm with the boys meeting at the church, going to the Dolan Baths, then being dropped off at their houses at 8pm approx.
In the past our swimming has been run by an officer driving the mini-bus and one parent with a car. However a couple of sessions ago due to a reduced number of officers we had to draw up a rota of those parents who had volunteered to assist to run the swimming, with one parent driving the bus and another with a car. This system worked very well so we wanted to do the same thing again last session but we did not have enough parents volunteering to assist us. As a direct result of this we were unable to run our Tuesday night swimming last session.
We would like to start the swimming up again this session. So if your son is in the 223 Company section, and you are available on a Tuesday night to help with the swimming email me at the address below and I will pass your name on to Mr Baird the company captain.
NB: ideally we need 12 volunteers, thus committing each person to one week in every six.
