This is the original engine spec that would have been used in the TR7 which would have made for some interesting driving!. If I had stayed with this then the car would have been running now, albeit highly stressed and high 12 / low 13 1/4's. Estimated power output was around the 275bhp range, and this would have been used with the addition of around another 100bhp extra on nitrous.

High Compression pistons running a Moly Ring set (compression ratio calculated at 11.02/1 on the old pre SD1 heads)

Balanced Rods – ARP bolts

Kent 224 Hydraulic with Rhodes lifters and a 248 Mechanical with solid lifters to try)

Holley 390 double pumper – 4150 race series (Keith Dorton ltd edition) along with a Holley 600 Double Pumper as 'back up'

MSD timing computer (pre-set timing curve) with auto retard for NOS

MSD billet dizzy

Magnecor KV85 Ignition leads (8.5mm)
