Pidgeons in London came from all over England at various times. Many such are to be found on most of the other family trees on this web site. The following families were living in London from the time of the earliest records.
Two families seemed to have originated in Edmonton in north London until evidence appeared which showed one came from Hatfield in Hertfordshire. The one shown here cannot be traced back beyond William PIDGEON, who was born at Edmonton about 1811.
John PIDGEON was a widower when he married Lydia KIMBER at Ealing in 1825. He was born about 1785, probably in the same county of Middlesex.
This family was living in London as early as 1753 and ran a very successful business distilling wines and spirits at Southwark. |
