East End Ath 4 v 0 Galston B C
WHAT A RETURN FOR ADAMS
It just took 7 minutes for Davie Adams to score his first goal for East End Athletic
and within the next 20 minutes he put more pressure on the Galston defence and fired
East End 2 - 0 up.
But great work rate from his striking partner Steven Queen who also ran him self into the ground
it looked as though Adams & Queen were going to run riot but that came to a blunt end when the Galston
centre half put a two footed tackle in against Queen which has put him out of the game for up to four weeks.
East Ends Manager John Queen made the changes and moved Antony Wedlock up front with Adams and he
filled in for Queen perfectly as he set up the other new signing Stephen Tedischi to fire home his first goal for
his new club.
East Ends defence never looked in danger with captain Jamie Darroch & Anthony Gordon looking comfortable .
With 10 minutes remaining Eat Ends Robert Tannahill passed a lovely ball through to Adams and he looked as if he
was going to score his hatrick until the Gaslton player caught the leg of Adams and the Referee had no option
but to award East End a penalty kick.
Up steps Adams to make it a hat trick but could only watch in disbelieve as he sent the ball over the bar.
.Not to worry as with in 2 minutes later he did get his hatrick by lobbing the Gallstone keeper with a perfectly placed header,
to put Athletic 4-0 up

East End Ath 2 v 2 Linwood St Convels
TEAM SPIRIT MAKES A POINT
Good team spirit managed to get a point for Athletic again a great goal from Davie Adams
who fired home a cracker to put East End up 1-0 , and that was how it stayed until halftime.
Linwood St Convels got awarded a penalty in the first 5 minutes of the second half to put the score back to
level terms.
Then a mistake by Athletics defender let in Linwood St Convels stirker who scored and put the away team in the lead .
But the celebrations never lasted too long as from the restart Robert Tanahill took the ball around two defenders then passed
the ball to Liam McAleer who managed to find Adams free , Adams was forced to the corner of the 18 yard box but
looked up to see his sticking partner James Nolan running in to the danger area Adams managed to get the ball
to Nolan feet and their was no way Big Nolan was going to miss an opportunity like that, he slotted home and both teams shared the points.
Manager John Queen was delighted with the team spirit within his team he told his team.
'' I'm amazed with our never say die attitude we have this season this team which we built this season have a good spirit and every one of them are fighting for each other that's what you need if you want a good season,''

9 MAN ATHLETIC SILENCE THE GUNNERS
To sum this game up in one word I would use ( incredible ) First in the opening seconds Athletics Anthony Gordon crosses in a beautiful ball to see Liam McAleer header home a cracker to put East End up 1 - 0, and at this point Athletics game plan was looking good that was until the East End players started to be complacent and gifted Arsenal their first goal and putting the score back to level.
Now the game had changed and Arsenal looked in control of the game and in the 14th minute a poor challenge by Athletics Jamie Darroch just out side the Athletics 18 yard box he thought the ref blew for a free kick but to his surprise and everybody else's the Referee decided to give Arsenal a penalty in which they blasted home and putting the Gunners up 2-1 .
Things went from bad to worse for Athletic and in the 33rd minute Arsenal fired home a third goal and finished the half 1 - 3 up.
At the start of the second half East End started taking control of the game again, and when in the 51st minute Stephen Tedischi passed a great ball to Steven Queen who fired home and put Athletic just one goal behind in this Scottish cup thriller.
But Arsenal were in no mood to lose this game and fought hard, their fighting spirit paid off when in the 64th minute they put the goal difference back to 2 when they scored to put the score now at 2 - 4 .
East End started to implode and poor discipline saw 5 yellow cards for talking back to the Referee, but in the 80th minute East End won a free kick just outside the Arsenals 18 yard box and Jamie Darroch fired home a cracker to give Athletic some belief that they could still get something from this game, but disaster struck Athletic as Martin Wright and 6 minutes later Jamie Darroch were sent off both for second bookable offences but then in the 88th minute Antony Wedlock passed through a lovely ball splitting the Gunners defence only to see Athletics David Adams running on to it and firing home to put Athletic level terms when the Referee blow to bring 90 minute to a close .
Both teams had to play a further half hour to try to settle this fantastic cup tie.
So 9 man East End tried to hold Arsenal but it looked all in vain as Arsenal scored to put them back in front 5-4.
At this point East End knew they were heading out of the Scottish Cup but nobody told Athletics Davie Adams and he fired home to bring the score back to level. Now the game had changed and it was East End who looked the stronger of the both teams and when Steven Queen scored East Ends 6th goal the crowed erupted and nobody from both teams could believe the score line at this point.
But the goal of the game was still to come and it arrived when Antony Wedlock picked up the ball on the half way line managed to take it a further 10 yards then fired the ball in to the top corner of the net, to finish this game East End Athletic 7 v 5 Arsenal B.C (B)
That goal, that game, was like I said ----
(INCREDIBLE)

THAT WINNING FEELING
east end ath u17s increased thier unbeaten run to 4 games after a cconvincing 6-3 league victory over scotstoun at the week-end scotstoun went in front after only 10 mins but this was short lived as the eastenders levelled when steven lochead shot home from close range after receiving a lovely pass from lewis hunter mid- way through the 2nd half and they went in front lochead sent brindley through and he raced in on goal to shoot his team in front, but the glasgow team equalised a few mins later after sloppy defending with 5 mins remaining until h-t lochead again sent hiis striking partner brindley through in on goal to put his team 3-2 in front into the 2nd half and the east end midfielders of love, whittaker and mc cusker started to dominate the middle of the park with excellent surging runs from full backs costello and wylie causing major problems for scotstoun the eastenders went increased their lead within the space of a few mins lochead again shooting home from 10yds and mark mc cusker scoring a cracker from 30 yds east end brought on the subs of norton, simpson and pearce but it was the visitors who pulled a goal back with 5 mins left to play mc cusker headed home after a good cross from pearce as well as the above mentioned players east end were well served by o.rourke and borland and all the lads are looking forward to this sun scot- cup tie with local team mossvale at lochwinnoch 2pm ko
