I live in Oldham but prefer to shop in Ashton. The market is excellent
and there is a huge range of shops.I find it friendlier than oldham.

Live in BC Canada now but my Gran lived in Smallshaw and I loved
Ashton. Still do and make a regular stop on the net to see what is
happening at "home". My last trip home I arrived 8am in Manchester and
told my cousin my first stop had to be Ashton Market for a bacon
buttie.

ago alot of changes but some old places still around.

Ron and Dorothy Prid   19/Nov/2001:10:07:17
Thanks for the website where we can keep an eye on the old
place.Although we live on the other side of the world on the Sunshine
Coast, Queensland,Australia, we never forget our roots, around Mount
Street and Fleet Street in Ashton. Memories come flooding back when we
see the Market and think of exciting times there on Saturday and Sunday
nights. That's a long time ago but still fresh in our memories. Try to
give us some shots around the canal and the old streets. Thanks again.

great. Keep up the good work.
