Eastern Counties Dance Teachers Alliance

The aim of the E.C.D.T.A. is to promote Sequence Dancing (both modern and classical/old-time)

Its members come from all over the Eastern Counties and belong to many teaching societies, and are also qualified in many forms of dance. They hold 10 meetings each year, on a Sunday afternoon, usually timed to co-incide with the publication of the new inventive dance competition winning scripts. They also hold tea dances and other social events throughout the year.

The E.C.D.T.A was originally connected to the UKA being its East Anglian Area Group for many years.  In 2000 the Group severed its connection with the UKA to become a totally independent entity, and was renamed the Eastern Counties Dance Teachers Alliance.

New members are most welcome provided they hold a current membership of a recognised dance teacher society.
An annual subscription is payable at the AGM in March, plus a nominal entry fee of £1 at their meetings.

Meetings and Tea Dances are held at Marks Tey Parish Hall, Old London Road, Marks Tey, Colchester, Essex.
