Always CD from David Last

The September 2004 release from David contains 24 tracks, four of which are described as bonus tracks, whatever that means.

The CD features a good selection of the usual rhythms and mostly well known standard tunes which should be popular with most dancers. I had problems dancing to the waltz, Moon River. I found myself reaching the end of a sequence with a Huckleberry Friend feeling there was some music left over, and wondering what stepsI had left out. In practice the next sequence started with the correct phrasing but it felt a little contrived. See what you think.

There are two New Vogue Waltzes included for those in the southern hemisphere. I am sure they will also recognise the Aborigine song Pokarekare Ana which makes a very nice rumba. Over here the song is associated with Hayley Westenra who gave a beautifully pure rendition of this haunting melody.
