Constipation
in a 70 yr old F , arthritic, diabetes,
wheelchair bound, swollen from steriods and other medication,
has such
dreadful constipation since exploratory bowel op 4 weeks previous,
describes passing stool as bad as giving birth.
Rx Opium 200, 100,30,24, 18, 12, 9, 6 , in sequence eight
hourly.
Result: she is going normally in 24 hours. with no aggravations
subsequently.
