GERBIL PROVING

Gerbil gerbillus (Mongolian)
The latest proving from the School of Paracelsian Inductive Homoeopathy.Method of manufacture
Preparation of this remedy according to the traditional Hahnemannian methodology of maceration in alcohol (Method 1) was considered more appropriate than tritruration. The remedy was potentised to 42c. An alternative method was also used using a remedy making machine (Method 2), as illustrated, and separate provings were conducted on each remedy produced.
Method of proving
The initial provings were done in meditation groups each consisting of 16 males and 4 females reflecting the preponderance of male to female gerbils in their native Mongolia .( http://www.gerbils.co.uk/ )The finding of these groups have been confirmed in clinical usage over a 6 month period. Full versions of both provings are available from SPIH ( HYPERLINK "mailto:spih@drimon.co.uk" spih@drimon.co.uk ), however, both provings produced the same picture essentially and are presented here as one.
Background
The domestic gerbil used for this proving is of Mongolian descent. In the wild gerbils live in groups and are accustomed to extremes of temperature. However, they make their homes underground where the temperature is more moderate and there is some protection from predators. Interestingly, the provers in both groups found that they bonded exceptionally well with each other during the provings and both groups, independently, found that their meditations were conducted in virtual darkness, with curtains drawn even in the middle of the day!
Mental and emotional symptoms
The central delusion is that he is alone and small in a large, essentially hostile world.
‘I felt that if I left my house something terrible would happen to me’ (4)
‘I dreamed I was being chased by giants’ (2)
‘I had a desperate urge to hide away’ (5)
