Homeopathy for allergic
reactions, anaphylaxis, side effects etc.
GENERAL:
a remedy
is not homeopathic when based on ailment name, but
when individualised to the specific symptoms.
This section only addresses acute conditions. Where
there is a chronic problem it must have constitutional
treatment.
COMMENTS: Severe allergic
reactions require immediate medical attention - do not delay
for any reason.
Allergy is a condition
of unusual or exaggerated specific susceptibility to substance
which is harmless to the majority of persons given in like amounts
and under like conditions, e.g. fish, berries, eggs, nuts, food
additives, bread or various other foods, producing symptoms
such as urticaria, nausea, vomiting, pains, purging, migraines,
asthma and many other symptoms of various natures. Drugs and
medicines that would be borne by the majority of persons would
produce allergic symptoms and even toxic manifestations in those
who are sensitive to a particular kind of food or drug.
Reactions may come on immediately
after exposure (stings, nuts) or after a few hours (antibiotics)
or days or even weeks (vaccinations). In very urgent
cases there will be a rapid response to the remedy if it is
the right one - so if there is no obvious improvement remedies
may be tried every 5 mins. Once a remedy has been found that
helps, repeat it as soon as the improvement wears off, but not
before. Stop when better.
