Jesus meets his Mother
We adore you oh Christ and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
Reflection
Jesus meets His mother. How did Mary feel seeing her son,
knowing what suffering and agony Jesus would have to go through?
How did Jesus feel? Embarrassed at what He had become, or
just too scared to think? Would Mary come to watch him die in agony? Or would
his mother watch him dying, knowing that he was a wonderful person, as the only
person in the crowd who cared for Him?
His mother must have felt relieved, somehow, because she got
to see Him before He died. But on the other hand she must have felt awful,
scared and sorry for Jesus. Sorry that she couldn’t do anything to stop Jesus’
suffering.
But this event was very helpful. If Mary had not let Jesus
go to get crucified then Jesus would not have died for us.
Prayer
Jesus I pray that we can be like Mary, be strong. When Mary
saw you dying she was strong in her heart. Mary loved You. Help us to love our
friends and family. When Mary saw You dying she cared for You, help us to care
for others. Help us to be more like You. Don’t fight but forgive. Don’t shout
but talk. I say this prayer through Your name, Christ our Lord, Amen
