Jesus receives the Cross
We adore you oh Christ and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
Reflection
The soldiers would have felt strong and powerful. The cross
was made of wood and Jesus would only have carried the horizontal bar. The wood
would have a metal bracket on the back to hook the bar into place. The people
who hated Jesus would have felt satisfied that he was going to die.
Prayer
Please help people not to act like the people who hurt
Jesus. Help us to love You and to respect You for carrying all our sins on the
cross. Help us not to sin against You. Amen.
