Introduction
The school will be leading you in the Stations of the Cross. The reflections and prayers have been written by Year 6. The pictures around the church have been created by different classes. Please join in with us by saying the prayers that we will all say together.
The First Station
Jesus is condemned to death
We adore you oh Christ and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
Reflection
Judas had betrayed Jesus. He had entered the garden of
Gethsemane with soldiers. He said, “The
one I kiss is the one you want. Arrest him and take him away.” Pontius
Pilate said that Jesus was to be crucified. The Jewish leaders had told him that
Jesus said he wanted to be king, but Jesus had not said this at all.
Prayer
Jesus, we love you truly and thank you for dying on the
cross for us. Without you, life would be full of suffering. When we die we will
have a wonderful after life and be grateful for the things you have done for
us. Amen.
