The Standards Board for England has been a willing accomplice to political vendettas (see our contents page) since it, and its kangaroo court Adjudication Panel, were invented by New Labour. So it's rather strange that the actions of a bunch of unelected quango-fodder are suddenly an "outrage to democracy" just because London's elected mayor, Ken Livingstone, is evicted from office for a 4-week holiday with pay. Especially as they've been outraging democracy for 5 years now.
CLICK HERE for an example of a real injustice by the Standards Board and for some examples of the penalties faced by other politicians for more serious political crimes. |
