In October 2005, 34 players from the DSO travelled to Florence to take part in a performance of Verdi's Requiem with The Coro e Orchestra Desiderio da Settignano. This concert was the "return match", and the DSO and Italian choir and orchestra were joined by 3 soloists and nearly 200 English choral singers.
