Personal Profile ICT Adviser within the School Improvement Service of Portsmouth City Council. Formerly Senior Lecturer ICT Education, University College Northampton, freelance inspector, consultant and writer. Over 12 years experience of ICT consultancy, management, marketing, Internet, software development, creation of ICT training and support materials and design and delivery of INSET. Experienced OFSTED trained team inspector for ICT, Geography, History and Science in Primary and Secondary schools. Active member of NAACE. Member, Advisory Board for Microsoft Encarta World Atlas 1997 - 2000. Effective organiser and administrator with strong analytical and research skills. Experience across all Key Stages as an adviser and inspector. Regular involvement in NAACE, BECTa and QCA initiatives and projects. Employment May 1999 to present ICT Adviser, Portsmouth City Council. Working within the School Improvement Service to provide advice and support on all aspects of ICT in Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools together with ICT support for life-long learning. Writer on ICT matters for various journals and publishers. Nov 1992 - Dec 1996 ICT Centre Manager/Teacher Adviser, Hampshire County Council Managing and developing the activities of Hampshire Microtechnology Centre, including provision of IT consultancy, education and training for teachers, parents and governors, developing and marketing curriculum support services and materials to clients in Hampshire and elsewhere.
