Our repertoire is wide-ranging and not typical of the average
male voice choir. This is probably because our place and generation of origin
are not typical either.
We are not afraid to tackle difficult music or works in foreign languages. This
quality of the choir has much to do with our general level of musicianship and
the expertise of our musical director and accompanist.
If we have particular trademarks then they would include folk song arrangements,
operatic choruses, Victorian/Edwardian ballads (particularly the arrangements of
Doris Arnold) and numbers from American musical theatre.
In addition to the many soloists within the choir we like to involve female
vocalists (including our own MD) instrumentalists and even our own consort of
drum and crumhorns!
