2006 Porsche RS Spyder ALMS

Here is the Penske Team Porsche RS Spyder from the 2006 American Le Mans Series. I created this replica of the championship winning car for the 2007 BSCRA National Finals. It was very much a last minute effort and was chosen because of it's simple and quick design. I'm happy to say it won the Sports class concours competion from an indentical example by another racer.
The body is a 1/32 scale Betta shell and only the yellow (Parma Fasyellow) is painted. All other markings are water slide transfers which I designed and printed. It is a very striking colour scheme which proves that often the simplest designs work best on small scale models.
The chassis lurking below is a Mossetti sports frame powered by a Cahoza strap motor with a 25 gauge armature.
