Body shell by Betta, paint from Parma Fascolor range and transfers by Streakers!

This is another example of the inkjet decal paper. All the art work was created in Paint Shop Pro and printed onto waterslide decal paper. Because the base colour is black I used clear paper with all the details outlined in black and then painted in the logos by hand. Any slight overlaps were then blended in with a draughting pen on the outside of the shell.

It won the club Saloon concours competition first time out and then recorded a personal best for me and third fastest time of the night which goes to show that it's not necessary to drive "vac formed door wedges" to be competitive!

A decent chassis and motor also helps, of course. Chassis is the very successful Betta spring steel Saloon kit with a Hershman blueprinted Proslot Group 12, Sonic 80dp gearing and Streakers double recess rears. These rears mean there is no need to reverse one hub to cover the gear boss which makes for a better looking car.
