1968 McLaren M8A

This is the car that dominated the 1968 Can-Am sports car series. Powered by the mighty 7 litre Chevrolet V8 the works driver pairing of Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme won 4 out of the 6 races and Hulme took the championship title. The remaining two races were also a McLaren benefit being won by Mark donohue in an M6B and John Cannon in his ex '66 works M1B.
This is the first pull, in PVC, of one of my own moulds. Since these pics were taken it has benefited from some detail work and I've had some vac formed by Betta Bodies in 0.25mm Lexan. It has been designed for BSCRA style sports cars so it is more a handling body than an accurate scale version.
