I have been playing guitars since I was 11 years old and my mum bought me a guitar from our milkman! I have a great passion for music of all types, but my great love is the electric guitar. I began building and customising guitars a long time ago, and this has been my on-going hobby for most of my adult life. I now customise and sell unique guitars through my own business of Ash Custom Axes, based in Salford, Greater Manchester, and I'm loving every minute of it! I spend many hours repairing guitars, spraying, changing necks, re-wiring scratchplates and taking the action down so that they are easy to play, and because I love music and guitars so much, I like to think of the joy they will bring to the people who buy them from me (or whoever they eventually end up with!)
My influences are Joe Walsh, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Clapton, and many others. My favourite guitars are my Strats, Les Pauls, Firebird, SG and Telecaster, and 335s, and I also like some Ibanez. I play my own guitars whenever I can, but my main thing at the moment is customising and repairing guitars, which I love to do.
