How to post pictures into b3ta.

Firstly a few basic rules. The picture you want to display has to be online. Don't ask me why, it just does and if you try to post an image off your hard drive, only you will see it and make yourself look silly, so don't do it.
Now your next question is going to be.. 'But I don't have webspace or know how to use ftp.'
Bingo! Auntie LuLu here to help you. Msn Groups give you 3mb of free space for pictures and simple instructions on how to use it all. Msn Groups Homepage A word of advice here, you MUST make your group public, if not, nobody can see your picture.

To use your image in b3ta, please check its size and filetype. A 1MB bitmap (.bmp) will probably blow the place up, and make everyone cross, especially modem users. So, jpg/jpeg/gif are all acceptable to use. The filesize of a jpeg should be no more than 50kb,and an animated gif no more than 150kb-200kb but try to keep it below this size.
OK, so you uploaded your picture. Here's an example.

Assuming that you are using Internet Explorer, you will want to right click on the image to select its properties.

Next, you'll want to highlight the URL,

this is done by holding the left button down on your mouse and moving from the beginning of the URL until all of it is highlighted.
Right-click on the highlighted areas and click copy.

Now, go back to b3ta and choose a subject for your pic then in the box below type < img src=" right click to choose paste, then close it with >.

Now you can see that all the url and code is in the box and you're done! Press 'preview' to make sure it works, and see the results.
