Cembu
cembu is a leafy plant with roots and leaves that can be eaten or used for animal fodder; it has a numer of Latin names, Colocasia esculenta, Colocasia antiquorum and Caladium nymphaeifolium, amongst others; other names for it are taro, eddoe and dasheen. The plant is also known as Elephant’s Ears, on account of the shape and appearance of its large, heart-shaped leaves.
