This is a daguerreotype of Anthony Spencer, the father of Mary Elizabeth Spencer who married Joshua Byard. Anthony lived most of the time with Mary and Joshua but would often visit his sons in Pennsylvania. He is buried at Burlington Pennsylvania.

This is Mary Elizabeth Spencer the wife of Joshua Byard. Joshua and Mary emigrated to the United States about 1829. They settled in Oaksville, Otsego Co. New York |
Joshua Byard was born about 1810 and died in 1867. Joshua was the youngest son of Thomas Byard (1754-1811) who farmed at Broadgates.Joshua & Mary had 11 children.
