Amesbury Junior Football Club was formed in 1985 and has grown considerably form its humble beginnings. As for the team to which this web site refers, we have had some good times and some bad times.

2003 Season (under 15)
After winning the league last season we got promoted. This will be a hard season both physically and mentally. This in the end was probably our worst season, not from the lads point of view but from mine we never had a real run of matches and as a result struggled all season for match practice . it seemed as if the bigger teams only wish to play hwen they want to or only have their full squad available, enevitably I think we actually took a step backwards because of the lack of games and moreover the lack of consistant games. we were never disgraced at the higher level and didn't finish bottom of the table, but always lacked the edge and sharpness the playing gives you. Hopefully things will get better next season
.
2002 Season (under 14)
Moved to the much acclaimed Mid Wilts league this season
After an auspicious start conceeding 10 goals in game 2 & 3 things looked a little shakey and life in the football world took a slump. We worked harder in training and started to put things together with some good wins away and being undefeated at home. The season was rounded off by an absolutely stunning game on a Friday evening under the floodlights at Amesbury Town Rec. against Chippenham Town Rangers, the only team who could pip us to the title. We won 2-0 on the night and eventually the title as Chippenham lost momentum. Fc Chippenham sixes saw us as runners up, followed by Berg sixes again runners up. Amesbury Junior sixes was a little disapointing only getting to the Quarter final stage, but Shrewton was a little better although again only semi final stage. The season ended with a trip to Durrington Sixes where we got to the Quarter final stage, although the way the draw for the Quarters was done was strange, the top four teams on the day contested the Quarter finals weird!!!!!

2001 Season (under 13)
This has been without doubt our best season yet, scoring over 100 goals and conceeding very few. The first highlight was winning the league with five games to go followed closely by the Cup win to give us the 100% double, playing some superb football along the way. The definite low point was our poor showing in the county cup at Malmesbury.A good showing at Bemerton Heath sixes saw us through with a golden goal victory in the final, we also showed our character in our own sixes to win and finished off a good season with a win at Shrewton sixes too.

2000 Season (under 12)
This was a interesting year with yet again another 4 or 5 player changes from new arrivals. We scored 126 goals but at the same time occasionally were unable to stop the opposition scoring also, we have learnt alot and the team has improved during the year playing some superb football along the way. All we can hope for is that it will continue next season. We got to two sixes finals this year, Salisbury City(lost) and Amesbury Town(won).

1999 Season (under 11)
This was a hard season and our bogey team came to haunt us all year. We played Durrington three times and the score was 1-1 every time. We only scored 37 goals this season, things were tough for all concerned. We showed well in the sixes getting to two semis and two quarters in six tournaments of strong opposition.

1998 Season (under 10)
We enjoyed some good games this season scoring 68 goals and getting to the cup final. The game of the season had to be the cup semi-final against South Newton. The final score was 4-4 and we eventually won 4-3 on penalties. The last game of the season was the cup final against Sarum Strikers, we were winning 1-0 until the last five minutes when they got a dodgy penalty decision .We lost 4-2 on penalties. In the six a side tournaments we won at Devizes which was probably the high point of the season.
