I've often thought about doing tattoos on other people instead of just receiving them myself. But I've seen the ugly results of unskilled tattooists and that always dissuaded me from trying. Since I became friendly with my local tattooist Steve Maxwell, during the past year I acquired some tattooing equipment and Steve taught me how to use it. I found someone who volunteered to be a guinea pig, then I was left entirely on my own to do my first tattoo. It was a nerve-wracking experience but it worked. Here are the results...
The tattoo was drawn from a design on a mug. The stencil was drawn freehand, so it's not an exact copy.
