In response to a number of requests, I have put up this page of Betamax items for sale. Before ordering, please note the following:
Video recorders are delicate, fragile and also very heavy. This means that sending them by post involves a certain degree of risk as well as quite a bit of expense. I have not included shipping in the prices. I am located in England, about 30 miles outside London. If you are close by, it is best for you to collect in person, or I may be able to deliver it myself for a small charge. If not, I can send by post - contact me and I'll find out the cost. Shipping internationally is possible, but can be extremely expensive. Also, if you live in another country, check that the model you wish to buy is compatible with your country's AC voltage and TV broadcasting system (PAL, NTSC etc.) Most of the Betamax models on this page will only work in the United Kingdom.
I am not a professional VCR sales/repairman, I'm just an enthusiast with a passion for collecting old electronic things and making them work. All the VCRs for sale have been lovingly restored by a real Betamax freak and are working unless faults are indicated. Because of the age of some of the items, I'm unable to give a Lifetime Guarantee but if anything does go wrong, I will do my best to help put things right. And because I'm not doing this for a living, prices will be reasonable. If you don't like the prices, I'm willing to negotiate.
