Introductory workshops

"All About The Alexander Technique" is a three hour introductory workshop designed to help you decide if you wish to have individual lessons. The story of how the Technique came about is followed by a series of practical activities carried out in pairs. There is a demonstration of the way in which the Technique is taught and, whilst a video is being shown, each participant can have a short individual hands-on session.

CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE IN THE UK 1904 - 2004

The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) recently celebrated 100 years of the Alexander Technique in the UK. Frederick Matthias Alexander, founder of the technique, first introduced his revolutionary method to the British public when he arrived in London in 1904. STAT teachers pioneered joint educational initiatives and projects with schools nationwide throughout the Centenary year.

'Taster Sessions' and informal discussions given at Borders Bookshop, Grove Farm Triangle, Leicester in June 2004.
