Only the best potatoes can get into "The potato in a bucket " competition. After an exhaustive selection process three candidates were selected from a bag of Maris Pipers

The rules say only one tatty to a pot...More exhaustive selection tests...!!!
The two losers end up in a different type of pot . . . It's chips for them

The first signs
of sprouting		 June 5 : Before the winning spud starts the competition he's got to be in the right frame of mind . .
Arrrgh . . gotta think big!		 Ah, that's better
This spud is going to feed the world

The Tatty buds take to the open air. (Note the anti-sooty  'Helping hand' device . . er . . sticks. They don't like it up 'em)

A bit of rain does wonders as the green bits shoot-up.
After a whole day of rain on 9-7-2008 this potato plant shoots evermore upwards.
Maybe Sooty's "helping hand " has paid dividends...!!!???
