SHOW 922 - It's a bit cheesy

Friday March the 21st saw the culmination of Richard and Paul's visit to Cheddar Gorge in Somerset. Unable to go myself they brought back a little of the countryside to me, namely in the form of beer and cheese, lots of cheese.

Potholer and Totty Pot Porter from Cheddar Ales were today's guest beers in this some what cheese themed week and they were gorgeous of course!

No trip to Somerset is complete without a taste of local cider . . . even at 6%

As has become tradition I brought along something to snack on which included some Branston pickle which turned out to insulting to the cheese.

Richard assured me that the addition of pickle would in fact be harmful to the full enjoyment of the cheese, and you know, he was right, words can not describe the wonderful taste of the real thing, by comparison supermarket cheese no matter how strong pales in to insignificants.

We finished the evening with a couple of cans of coffee, yes, cans. we were both surprised just how tasty they were, we expected to be disappointed but strange things happen on the beer show.
