Wood block print of a serpent and griffin from the 12c Tournai font.

I can't believe that I forgot to reverse the design of this study and drew direct onto the wood for cutting. The print is 18cm x 12cm. It has two colours in the reduction method and the edition of 10 uses various papers. The block is cherry wood and printed with Lawrence's linseed oil inks. view sketches of font animals September 2007 I have since seen elsewhere beasts that are two headed. This may be a two headed griffin.
