Ost Holstein in Northern Germany. This recent work has been developed from direct observational drawing using sketch books, pencils, watercolour and pens.   At a later day they have been transcribed into oil paintings and limited editions of autographic prints.  The web title is taken from tourist bill boards that I have read at the side of the motorway whilst travelling from Esbjerg in Denmark to Neustadt in Holstein. These boards welcome visitors and describe Schleswig - Holstein as : "Holstein : lands des Horizon"  "Holstein : land of the Horizon". Holstein's Baltic sea, woodlands, lakes and undulating landscapes fit well into this title so I unashamedly use it and hope soon have a venue in England or Germany.
