Is it ethical to cut up woodblocks and use them in further editions ?

Greetings Baren Forum. I would just like to pick up your thoughts on this question. There is no answer really and I would imagine that you all have faced this problem about editions of prints and what constitutes an edition over the years. This is a new one for me. The left print is a conventional edition and I signed 10 identical prints and experimented with a few calling them "Artist's Proof "or "AP".

I cut the background off the original Skelton block and used the foreground of the ploughed field again in the Sudbrooke Church and printed out another 10 identical prints.

Is this ethical ? How should I sign them ? Is it another unique edition? Is it actually worth bothering about?
