About Me My name is Helena and I live in Macclesfield, UK (please visit my family site to find out more). I've only been making bears for a short time but I'm already addicted! Everything I've learned so far about bear-making has come from the web (see my links page) and books.  My Bears My bears are made in a traditional manner, with glass eyes and cotter-pin joints. This means that they are not suitable for children. I like to experiment with different fabrics, but prefer to work with mohair and ultraseude best. The patterns are adapted from existing ones or completely designed by myself, and no two bears are identical.... eBay For me, the enjoyment is in creating the bears. So to prevent the house from filling up with my new-found friends, I've been selling them on the auction site eBay. My seller's name is 'h_cowell'. New bears will be listed on this site - but please check eBay too, to see if I have any up for auction at the current time :) |
