I started My Food Adventures to offer information about the work of Dr Max-Otto Bruker who practised holistic medicine with great success for over 60 years on over 30,000 patients in Germany and wrote profusely about the often irreversible damage caused by refined carbohydrates to our health. Plus information on food, health, gardening and every good wholesome thing – including my organic wholemeal bread recipe that has become very popular.

Shirley Pountney is an artist living and working in Walthamstow and inspired me to create this website. She works with many different materials and also writes – see her website www.lizberrybooks.com.

The Waltham Forest Arts Club is a vibrant network of local artists exchanging information, knowledge and ideas.

Arts and cultural provisions took a particularly bad battering in Walthamstow in recent years and these groups are fighting for what's left and hopefully preventing yet worse things to come:-
