PHOTOGRAPHING LLOYD PARK

< As part of the Walthamstow and District Photographic Society's (WDPS) annual photography course the participants are invited to practise what they've learnt under the guidance of some more experienced photographers of the Society. I joined two of these events in summer 2004 and here are my "unwashed and unkempt" results. It rained at the beginning of the first outing and a brolly supplied the necessary colour element to the first photo.

(Oben:) Als Teil des jährlichen Fotografiekurses der WDPS werden die Teilnehmer eingeladen, Fotos unter Anleitung von erfahreneren Fotografen der Gesellschaft zu schießen. Ich schloss mich im Sommer 2004 zweimal diesem Praxisteil an, und hier sind meine "ungewaschenen und ungekämmten" Ergebnisse. Beim ersten Treffen regnete es anfangs, und ein Regenschirm lieferte den nötigen Farbklecks fürs erste Foto.

The William Morris Gallery is a pretty impressive building (please also see my photos of it on the Walthamstow page) with many interesting details, ready to be photographically discovered and explored. Its contents is even more impressive and well worth exploring – and protecting!

Die William Morris Gallerie ist ein eindruckvolles Gebäude (bitte sehen Sie auch meine Fotos davon auf der Walthamstow Seite) mit vielen interessanten Details, die nur drauf warten, fotografisch entdeckt und erforscht zu werden. Der Inhalt der Gallerie ist noch sehr viel mehr beeindruckend und wert erforscht – und geschützt! – zu werden.

Mick Ralph, a long-standing member of the Society with a wealth of photographical know-how to share, alerted the group to a shiny bicycle with all its photographical potential, e.g. photographing it as a whole from various angles, making use of the reflections of the mudguards, and endless other possibilities. Then one of the participants tossed his little dog into the basket on the handlebar which lent a completely new perspective to the subject matter!

Mick Ralph, seit langem Mitglied der Gesellschaft mit einem enormen Reichtum an fotografischem Wissen, machte die Gruppe auf ein funkelndes Fahrrad mit all seinem fotografischen Potential aufmerksam, z.B. als ganzes fotografieren von mehreren Blickwinkeln, Gebrauch machen von den Reflektionen von den Schutzblechen, und vielen weiteren Möglichkeiten. Dann warf einer der Teilnehmer seinen kleinen Hund in den Korb am Steuer, was dem fotografischen Thema eine vollkommen neue Perspektive verlieh!

I had taken photos in Lloyd Park for some five years and never spotted this joint in its Scented Garden. It's colourful, it has texture and shape, and so it is photogenic. :-)

Ich hatte fünf Jahre lang im Lloyd Park fotografiert und nie zuvor diese Fuge in seinem Duftenden Garten gesehen. Sie ist farbenfroh, sie hat Textur und Form und ist somit fotogen. :-)
