Gujadom Snakes

Introduction

I have been keeping snakes since 1996 when I started off in South Africa with egg eaters and brown house snakes found in my garden. I used to breed handfuls of babies for release in the surrounding veld. I also became involved with the care and maintenance of a local university’s venomous snake collection. This collection consisted of puff adders, Mozambique spitting cobras and Egyptian cobras. In 1996 I also bought my first corn snake hatchling and the bug had firmly bit.

In 1998, I moved to Hampshire, UK, and most of my snakes came over the year later. Unfortunately my snakes indigenous to South Africa could not come due to South Africa’s nature conservation laws. Since then I have concentrated on corn snakes in their various guises.

I have purchased a few choice UK bred snakes to expand the genetic base of my collection. The collection has grown in variety of colour and patterns since 1999, as well as diversifying a little into corn snake hybrids. My aim is to produce interesting healthy snakes of excellent quality and vigour.
