Management

I manage my collection on a closed colony basis. In other words, I do not mix snakes from other collections with my snakes. If I purchase a new snake, then that snake is quarantined for 3 months in a separate facility before being introduced into my collection facility.

I also limit access to my collection. The main reason is for disease and parasite control.

My snakes are housed individually to allow monitoring of feeding, moulting and defaecation. All corn snakes over 1 year of age are brumated through mid-winter.
