CLARTY SOUGH are Geoff Convery, Jim Hancock & Keith Brown. All have a reputation as fine singers of traditional song. Geoff & Jim are song writers of repute, with songs such as "The Traction Engine", "All to Build a Railway" and "Nights Like This" regularly heard around the folk clubs and their compositions sung and recorded by other performers, including, Witney Gin, John Conolly, Roy Clinging, Pegleg Ferret, Jim Mageean, Pat Needham & Steve Hindley.

All are long time members of Coleby Plough Jag mummers team. Geoff was a founder member of Barleycorn Ceilidh Band, along with Sam Pirt, whilst regular festival goers will readily recognise Jim from his appearances with the Roaring Forties shanty group. Multi instrumentalist Keith Brown is an ex member of Guinness Duo, As well as a recognised solo performer he is often in demand. for work as a session musician on the recordings of fellow folk artists.

Clarty Sough are available with their own P.A. system if required and carry full public liability insurance appropriate to all forms of public performance.
They have numerous folk club, festival and concert appearances to their credit together with appearances on local and national radio.

Experience includes Folk clubs, Festivals, Concerts, County Shows, Village Fetes, Stately Homes, Museums, Heritage and Maritime Events and a full range of private and corporate functions.

With a wealth of fine songsl from the British tradition complemented by their own acclaimed writings Clarty Sough use their well-matched voices to offer a unique evening of accompanied and acapella songs, from the tragic to the comic, with plenty of opportunity for audience participation.
