Quest

In 1992, having re-aligned the Metro ranged and improved the specification of the basic 1.1C, this left a gap at the bottom end of the market, one the Quest Model filled.  The Quest model excludes extras such as the rear was wipe, radio, upholstered head restraints, split rear seat, 5 speed box, while including touches such as the fascia mat and wheel trims.  With all the other Rover engineering qualities the Quest was a real budget buy in 1992, priced at £5,995 (3 door). For all it was the bottom of the range it was an improvement on the original 1990 1.1C.  LRover Metro Questike the old Metro range had the City X, the Quest plus was launched at £6,995.  The same but with a digital clock, rear wash wipe and radio.  The Quest remained in production until 1994, but phased out in late 1993 as Rover didn't like the 'cheap car' image the Quest was giving.

"The Metro Quest gives you everything you need  - style, economy, superb practicality, great value for money.  And on top of all that, it's a Rover".

"As one would expect from a Rover, the finish is good and attention has been paid to detail". - 'Company Car Magazine' - July 1992.

"Choosing your new car should be fun; something you look back on with pleasure, confident that you've made the right decision.  Your new car should give you everything you need - including the best value for money around.

That's why Rover are offering you the Metro Quest.  It's everything you're looking for - and then a great deal more.  Delightfully affordable, even for the most modest budget.  And costing you very little to run, with economy of up to over 60 mpg at a constant 56 mph*.

Rover Metro Quest featuresBecause the Quest, like all Rovers is designed for minimal maintenance, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the servicing costs.  And because its British built bumper to bumper, this also helps to keep the insurance costs down.

You can count on getting a car that's a joy to drive and a dream to park and manoeuvre.  Start up the lively 1.1 litre engine, and enjoy the keen response.  Lively acceleration to beat the rush hour; and agility that will get you out of tight corners with effortless ease.  You'll feelRover Metro Quest badge instantly at home behind the sporty three spoke steering wheel.  And you'll like the fast smooth gear change.  Driving is sheer fun, in town or country.

The Metro Quest is a natural for family transport too, whether you choose the three-door or five-door model.  Children can get a good view out of the back; and there's plenty of leg stretching space for the tallest driver.  The capacious boot will swallow up the load from the weekly shopping trip.  Whilst if you need more space, the parcel shelf unclips and stows neatly away behind the rear seat.

And for the times when you need real carrying power, the seat folds forward in a simple jack knife action to give you an astonishingly large loads apace of 33.7 cu.ft. - easy to load, easy to load with the bumper-level sill.  And incredibly accommodating with a completely flat floor and generous dimensions.

You'll find that equally generous specification for the modestly low price.  Stylishly trimmed seats, with cloth seat facings and front head restraints, create a welcoming interior.  Twin door mirrors make manoeuvring even easier.  While important detail features such as the fascia mat show there has been no cutting corners.  Outside, attractive full width wheel trims add extra style, whilst the side rubbing strips help protect the coachwork.

Above all, there are special qualities that make a Rover built car so different from the rest.  The superbly fitted front seats are the same as those fitted to the larger Rovers; helping you to take the longest journeys in your stride.  The quietness even at speed - is uncanny giving you more refinement than you would have thought possible.  The ride comfort is no less remarkable, with large car suppleness that literally soaks up rough roads.

Rover engineering has not only created a car body that is not only extremely well put together, but also very robust; built to last, and to keep that lustrous paint finish for a very long time to come.  Giving you complete confidence that you've made the right decision - now, and for the future.

So drive the Metro Quest soon.  There's no shortage of small cars in today's showrooms.  But there's only one small car worthy of being called a Rover.
