1.1S & 1.4 Si

This started off as just a mid range model.   In in 1993 it became more of a sporty model, getting a rear spoiler, sports sears, tinted glass and much more.  It had a good and respectable spec throughout its life and most importantly was priced accordingly. I have also added the 1.4 Si to this page, the reason for this is they both have almost the same specifications apart from the engine sizes.  The 1.4 Si effectively replaced the GTa in 1992.

• 5 speed gearbox
• 3 or 5 door
• Black bumpers (became colour keyed for 1993 approx) - not sure of exact date
• Full width wheel trims
• 60/40 split rear seat
• Standard alarm from 1994
• Digital clock
• Full depth door trims from 1993
• Stereo radio/cassette (optional higher spec one)
• Standard rear wash/wipe
• Tinted glass from 1993
• Centre console, passenger vanity mirror and grab handles
• Body colour bumpers from 1994 with bright inserts and body colour door mirrors/bonnet vents 
• Standard remote central locking and variable speed intermittent wash wipe from 1994
• The interior was re-trimmed around 1993 with sports harlequin seat facings. 
• Optional sunroof standard from 1993
• Tachometer from 1993
• Rear spoiler from 1993
• Sports steering wheel from 1993
• Red seat belts from 1993 (why on this model but not on GTi?)
• Optional metallic paint  1993 onwards.
