1.1L/1.4LD and 1.4Li Auto
A definite improvement on the Austin Metro L. This model is pretty much the
same as the C, but has a few extra features such as the split rear seat.
In its later years it was made to look very attractive with its colour coded
bumpers, mirrors and bonnet vents. I know it's the same as the Impression
Special Edition from the outside - that's because it is! It was just the
inside that was different. In 1992 a Metro CL Diesel, this was exactly the
same spec but with a diesel engine. Like the Rover 111Si and SD.
An
automatic version was launched, it had the same spec, but a 1.4 litre engine
with an autobox.
Left: This 1.1L is from 1994. The spec was greatly improved over the years,
it looked very smart for 1994 with fully colour coded bodywork including bonnet vents
and fuel cap.
- Very conveniently parked!
Right: 1.4 litre diesel engine

A smart little car with sensible equipment and style.
