| Comments:
Side one Shake It opens with a very typical British beat sound. A train tempo from piano and drums is quickly added to by some reverb vocals. A short track with some standard guitar. The flip side Rock me Baby has more of the early McPhee feel. Opening with some very able slow boogie piano from Tom Parker Tony cuts his vocals with great passion over the rolling rhythm section. The solo is a very laid back and indistinct guitar and harmonica outing. The overall arrangement is very reminiscent of many early British blues groups especially John Mayall's Bluesbreakers These tracks and other early recordings can be found on the Herbal Mixture CD Please Leave My Mind. |
